Our Roots

IN COLOMBIA, WE CALL BLACK FILTERED COFFEE A “TINTO,” AND THE SELLER IS “EL SEÑOR DE LOS TINTOS” WHICH TRANSLATES INTO ENGLISH AS “MR. TINTO.”

Mr. Tinto is a Colombian Coffee Roastery based in Croydon. Our name in Spanish, translates in English to “coffee”. Mr Tinto began at the back of East Croydon station in 2017, founder Francisco started serving and selling coffee from his bike and a big dream.

Mr. Tinto is a London-based specialty roastery, roasting small-batch Colombian coffees
and carefully chosen origins, delivered fresh across the UK.
